Client brief:
Pelican Healthcare appointed Paramount to undertake the
highly phased refurbishment of their Quadrant Centre unit in
Cardiff. The interior scope of works included the re-modelling of
the Ostomy and Femcare production and warehousing areas
and accompanying facilities including an ISO Class 9 clean
room, staff changing and mess facilities, offices, storage and
plant areas. A significant element of the re-modelling works
comprised the introduction of a gantry system to provide ‘above
ceiling’ access to all new mechanical and electrical systems.
Associated external works included roof and wall over-cladding,
roller shutter doors, a new curtain glazed façade to the Ostomy
Production access, hard and soft landscaping works as well as
a new corporate signage package.
Scope of works:
• Feasibility and Outline Design
• Detail Design Development
• Project Management
• M & E Design specific to healthcare factory environments
• Partitioning, Ceilings and Flooring
• Exterior works
“Our clients and VIP visitors to the new facility have been very
impressed at the quality and attention to detail of Paramount’s
work – in addition our staff have responded very positively to
their new working environment.
The help and advice that Paramount gave us in planning these
works was very much appreciated and I was delighted with the
team approach that developed between my staff and
Paramount’s site team.”
