Paramount’s 20th Birthday

Paramount recently celebrated 20 years in business with a lunchtime party for staff, both past and present.  Nigel Roberts, Managing Director, reminisced about how the idea for the company came to fruition:

“We were sitting in the living room of my father-in-law’s house in Salcombe, Devon looking out to sea, and I had one of those ‘eureka’ moments. The name of the house was ‘Paramount’ and the rest as they say is history”.

Nigel continued to entertain his staff with stories about many of the funny occurrences over the years, which ran in tandem with a slideshow of photographs of all members of staff, social events and projects during the 20 year period.

He concluded his speech on an optimistic note with regard to the state of the current economic climate, further to Paramount having recently won a number of high profile jobs, namely ‘Her Majesty’s Court Service’ and ‘Next Generation Data’ both in Newport, these along with other jobs in the pipeline will help to cement the success of the company during 2009 and leading into 2010
